The year 2010 is the Chinese Year of the
Tiger. South Federal kicks off its 2010 Chinese New Year celebration with the Lion Dance
performed by the Nguyen Thieu Dragon Dance Team on the
evening of Friday, February 12 at 7:30 PM Saturday, February 13 at
7:00 PM and Sunday, February 14, 2009, 7:30 PM. Firecrackers are also set off during the
event. |

T-Wa Inn Offers Unique Fundraising
Concept
T-Wa Inn (555 S Federal Blvd) has a long history in Denver, not only
for being the first to introduce Vietnamese cuisine in 1984, but
also for its long history in helping out the community.
For the second time in as many years, T-Wa Inn will host the Denver
Police Dept's Gang Unit's employees for their annual holiday party
on December 23rd as well as provide lunch for Denver Public School's
District 4 employees on December 18th. When Rocky Mountain PBS asked
T-Wa Inn for an in-kind donation for their annual auction, T-Wa
donated several thousands of dollars worth of artwork from their
collection.
Needless to say, when asked for help, T-Wa Inn is always willing to
help out where they can but rather than waiting for requests, T-Wa
Inn is now outreaching to struggling non-profits in the community.

The unique fundraising idea T-Wa Inn has developed is by providing a
direct donation to non-profits hosting parties and events at T-Wa
Inn's south Federal location. Organizations hosting parties of 20
people or more can now benefit by receiving up to a 20% donation to
their organizations based on the amount of their dining total. "It's
like getting a gratuity on your bill," says T-Wa Inn manager Linda
Tran. ""We want to help out where we can. She added.

High Massacre Rugby Tournament
Check out the action live at Craig Hospital on February 20-22nd as
the top six wheelchair rugby teams will go head to head in this
annual showdown. The event will feature 6 of the 11 Gold medal
winners of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic rugby team. |
